Dr. Peter J. Reiley is an organizational psychologist and leadership educator who has led organizations and developed evidence-based leadership practices across government, corporate, nonprofit, and academic sectors for more than two decades. He is the founder and Principal Consultant of Leadership Arts & Sciences, where he advises clients across Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. His research and consulting advance the science and practice of leadership, power, and influence, translating behavioral science into practical strategies that build stronger leaders, more effective followers, and high-performing teams.

Reiley is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Society for Military Psychology. He holds a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from Pennsylvania State University and serves as an adjunct professor in Penn State’s Psychology of Leadership master’s program. He also advises on strategic policy and mentors international scholars as a Senior Fellow at the University of South Florida’s Global and National Security Institute. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed works, co-edited two leadership development textbooks, and received national awards for distinguished contributions to leadership research, education, and practice.

A retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, Reiley spent 21 years leading integrated teams of military personnel, government civilians, and contractors across global operations. He managed space launch programs supporting three first-of-their-kind satellite launches and directed multinational behavioral science research and assessments for psychological operations with Special Operations Forces across six continents. As a professor and senior administrator at the U.S. Air Force Academy, he received the Outstanding Academy Educator Award, the institution’s highest honor for research, teaching, and service. He later co-founded a national nonprofit that led veteran workforce research and advised employer hiring and support programs, serving eight years as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Reiley is a lifelong pop culture fan and believes these stories and art forms offer a shared language for communicating evidence-based leadership theory and practice to a broader audience. Prime Leadership grew from that conviction. He has shared leadership insights on comic convention panels, appeared on pop culture podcasts, and lives in Tampa, Florida.
